En los 70 una nueva ola de películas sexualmente explicitas invadió las pantallas yanquis. Al principio esas películas que realmente mostraban cosas fueron conocidas como “white coaters” (guardapolvos blancos). Eso pasaba por que todo el asunto de mostrar gente acostándose estaba en los limites de lo ilegal y “el ángulo científico” (un tipo en un guardapolvo blanco dando lecciones) era una forma de estar en terreno legal. Cuando “Garganta Profunda” (Deep Throat, 1971) desató un cambio dramático en las leyes de censura y el porno se volvió legal, los “white coaters” desaparecieron.

Doris Wishman (1920-2002) empezó a dirigir películas sobre campos nudistas en los años cincuenta, bajo maravillosos títulos como “Nudismo en la Luna” (Nude on The Moon, 1959), y se fue yendo hacia los films más guarros cuando en lo sesenta rodó cosas más duras como “Deseos Ardientes” (Desires of Women, 1967). Quizás sabiendo que era una cineasta simplemente inepta, utilizó una amplia gama de alias: Stuart Allen, Anthony Brooks, Doris Chasnik, Dee Ess, Andrew Kuehn, Luigi Manicottale, O.O. Miller, L. In the 70´s a new wave of sexually graphic movies invaded USA screens. At first those movies that showed the real thing were known as “white coaters”. That was because the whole enterprise of people getting laid was on the verge of the illegal and the “scientific approach” (a guy in a white coat giving lessons) was a way to avoid it. When “Deep Throat” (1971) unleashed a dramatic change in censorship laws and porno became legal, the white coaters vanished.
Well, kind of.
Doris Wishman (1920-2002) started directing movies about nudist camps in the fifties, under great titles like “Nude on The Moon" (1959), and went into a sleazy movie land when she shoot rougher films in the sixties, like “Desires of Women" (1967). Maybe knowing she was such as inept filmmaker, she used a wide range of alias: Stuart Allen, Anthony Brooks, Doris Chasnik, Dee Ess, Andrew Kuehn, Luigi Manicottale, O.O. Miller, L. Silverman, Lazarus Volkl, Dawn Whitman, Kenyon Wintel, and Doris Wisher.
